Find Your Zero Waste Community: Zero Waste Forums

Are you looking to join a zero waste community or online forum?  Going zero-waste is a massive shift in lifestyle. Just like any big changes in life, going zero-waste should be done slowly to achieve your goal. For example, if someone wants to start a healthier life, a quick-fix diet and over-exercising are not the way to get there. Instead, taking gradual steps and getting support from like-minded people is the best way to start living more sustainably.

I listed the best zero waste community online. This kind of life-changing change starts with doing diligent research, understanding the process, pros and cons, and having a great group of people who share the same values to support you on your eco-friendly journey.

From my own experiences, it’s hard to convince my friends and even my own family to start living green, so, I went out and find the people who share my own values.

Top Zero Waste Communities and Forums

My goal in compiling this list is to help you find the right zero waste community and forum that suits your needs. Don’t make the same mistakes I did when I jumped on hardcore zero waste forums right away and it overwhelmed me. If you are a beginner, join a beginners group, and they will help you find your footing so you can move to new groups as you progress.

There are also plenty of local zero waste forums in different locations such as Zero Waste Australia, Zero Waste UK, or even as specific as Zero Waste LA, so if you want to search for a zero-waste community near you these are good places to start.

Zero Waste Facebook Groups

In this list of zero-waste Facebook groups, I included the most active and the ones I personally find useful. You can also browse the list according to your location, however, I only included the ones that have a large number of members and active groups. They are really helpful and the members share a lot of useful tips about the zero-waste lifestyle.

General/Wordwide Facebook Groups

Zero Waste Groups By location

If you enjoy meeting people or organising a local cleaning drive or simply wants to know the best recycling centres in your area, these groups are really handy.

Zero Waste Sub-Reddits

If you prefer Reddit over Facebook, then we’ve got Reddit zero-waste groups for you too. Members are more reliable and the fact that my account doesn’t reveal too much information about me, it gives me the security to ask questions related to zero-waste life without judgement or having random people sending me private messages.

Some of these sub-Reddits are not specifically about zero waste, however, a lot of them are closely related and can be very useful especially if you are still at the stage of educating yourself or even thinking to step up your zero waste game.

I hope that you found this list of zero-waste communities and forums helpful. I’m a fan and love these groups. I constantly learn a lot from the members and appreciate all their support.

If you have favourite zero waste social media groups or forums that I’m missing, please do let me know in the comments and I will add them to the list!
